Solution to
the environment issues
facing by olive oil industry
Olive mill waste and food waste have become environmental serious issues recently. In particular, food waste has become a serious problem in countries around the world including Japan.
The oil temperature decompression dryer (“Cooker”) uses the original technology to sterilize and dry such food waste and converts it into organic resources such as feed or fertilizer.
Referring to the importance of global environmental preservation now, we are working to move from a consumer society where waste is thrown away to the society where the waste is treated, reduced, recycled oriented and reused; a recycling-oriented society through the reduction of waste, and its conversion into the resource.
To protect our nature which is as beautiful as unique,
to achieve a more peaceful and prosperous world,
we will contribute with the power of technology.
By using the original drying technology developed in Japan, the Cooker converts olive mill waste into the powder, It reduces the volume of waste and eliminate the odour. In addition, by reducing the moisture in the olive mill waste that is harmful to plants, The cooker protect the water resources and beautiful natural environment of Morocco.
* The results can change depending on the type and amount of waste.
The food waste treated by the Cooker is transformed into feed for livestock or fertilizer for plants. The industrial waste processing costs can be reduced to zero and the waste can be sold as a resource and produce income. This creates a better cycle for both the environment and industry.
Examples of use of feed derived from olive mill waste
In Kagawa Prefecture, Japan, beef and chicken that have been given livestock, produced from olive mill waste as feed have been branded as olive beef and olive chicken. These products are widely known and appreciated by Japanese and tourists and they contribute to the regional business and tourism industry.
Tokyo Super Eco Town is an area where various recycling plants are gathered.
It is located in Jonanjima, Ota city in Tokyo. Part of this area has a facility (feed center) which collects food waste from food production industry and restaurants in Tokyo area, recycles, transforms it into resource and sell the processed feed to feed manufacturers. By using similar technology to the Cooker’s technology, food waste is processed and sold as raw materials to the compound feed for poultry and pigs. In one process, 10 tons feed, can be produced in about 90 minutes.
Going forward, a cooker manufacturing company will be established in Morocco.
A training program for local employees will be set up in Japan and technology will be passed on from person to person.
The establishment of the cooker's manufacturing compagny will boost employment in the country.
This will lead to a more peaceful, prosperous and developed country.
Setting up a cooker manufacturing plant in Morocco will generate new employment. This combined with the sales of processed feed will contribute to the further revitalization of the economy in Morocco.
Conveying Japanese technologies and manufacturing Cookers within Morocco will create new engineers and employment.
Converting food waste into a resource will resolve the problems of odour and soil contamination. It will contribute to improve the environment around the landfill.
The processed food waste can be used and sold as animal feed. This will not only eliminate waste disposal costs, but also give birth to new assets.
The oil temperature decompression dryer is a system which dehydrates, reduces and dries the moisture content of food waste and decreases its volume and odour.
